Glalie, the Face Pokémon, is a chilling presence within the Tinsel Forest. Formed from a core of rock and encased in a layer of hardened ice, this boss can freeze the very moisture in the air. During the holidays, it is known to lurk near frozen groves, ready to shatter the composure of any passing trainer with its explosive power.

Boss Encounter: Glalie

This encounter features a "Suicide Lead" and "Mega Striker" strategy. Glalie utilizes its Glalitite to Mega Evolve, turning its Normal-type attacks into Ice-type moves via the Refrigerate ability, and punishing the player's team with entry hazards before attempting a final, devastating blast.

Battle Strategy

  • Mega Evolution & Refrigerate: Upon Mega Evolving with the Glalitite, Glalie gains the **Refrigerate** ability. This transforms Double-Edge and Explosion into Ice-type moves and boosts their power. This makes it incredibly dangerous to Dragon, Grass, and Ground-types.
  • Hazard Pressure: Glalie often leads with Spikes. If the battle lasts long, these hazards will chip away at your team's health every time you switch Pokémon. Bringing a Pokémon with **Rapid Spin** or **Defog** is advised if you cannot secure a quick KO.
  • The Final Blast: When Glalie's health is low, it will use Explosion. Under the effect of Refrigerate, this becomes one of the most powerful moves in the game. Using **Protect**, switching to a Steel/Fire-type, or having a Pokémon with the **Damp** ability is vital to surviving the finish.
  • Ground Coverage: Earthquake is included to hit the Fire and Steel-types that usually resist Ice-type attacks.
  • Speed Tier: With maxed Speed EVs and the +2 Boss boost, Mega Glalie is deceptively fast. Priority moves like **Bullet Punch** (which also hits its Steel weakness) are excellent for finishing it off before it can explode.
