Altaria, the Humming Pokémon, is a graceful and cloud-like guardian of the Tumblecube skies. While it appears soft and gentle, it possesses a warrior's spirit, using its vocal resonance and draconic heritage to weather storms and strike down threats with elegant precision.

Boss Encounter: Altaria

This encounter features a "Setup Sweeper" strategy. Altaria utilizes its natural bulk and the threat of the Rocky Helmet to find opportunities to set up Dragon Dance, potentially snowballing into an unstoppable physical force if not dealt with quickly.

Battle Strategy

  • The Setup Threat: Altaria's primary goal is to use Dragon Dance. Each successful use increases both its Attack and Speed, making it harder to outrun and harder to tank. Using **Taunt** early in the fight is the most effective way to shut this strategy down.
  • Punishing Contact: Altaria holds a Rocky Helmet. Physical attackers that rely on contact moves (like Close Combat or Crunch) will take significant chip damage every time they strike the boss. Special attackers are much safer choices for this encounter.
  • Diverse Coverage: With Dragon Claw, Acrobatics, and Play Rough, Altaria can hit almost every type for neutral or super-effective damage. Its Fairy-type move, Play Rough, specifically targets the Dragon and Fighting-types that might try to challenge it.
  • Acrobatics Note: While Altaria currently holds an item, be aware that if its item is removed or consumed, the power of Acrobatics will double, becoming a massive threat.
  • Ice Weakness: Like many Dragon/Flying-types, Altaria has a massive 4x weakness to Ice-type moves. A fast Ice-type user or a Pokémon with **Ice Shard** can often bypass its Dragon Dance boosts to secure a quick knockout.
