Saffron City is a sprawling golden metropolis located in the center of the Kanto region. It is the city for the Psychic-type gym leader, Sabrina, and serves as a major hub for commerce and transport.

Places of Interest

Silph Co. Office Building

A massive skyscraper located in the heart of the city. It is currently overrun by Team Rocket, and trainers must navigate the building to find Giovanni and kick the organization out.

Saffron Underground

A secret subterranean area and market. Here, trainers can find people selling suspicious items, as well as vendors selling the specific clothing styles for the city.

Fighting Dojo

A specialized mini-gym located in the city. It serves as a secondary training ground for those specializing in Fighting-type Pokémon.

Train Station

A major transportation hub that allows for fast travel. Trainers must possess a valid Train Ticket to utilize its services.

Buildings

Saffron City features a total of 10 primary buildings:

  • Saffron City Pokémon Gym: The official Gym where trainers face the Psychic-type leader, Sabrina.
  • Pokémon Center: A standard healing facility that includes a secret underground part where trainers can grind levels with Nurse Joy. The upstairs area is currently reserved for a future feature.
  • Poké Mart: A retail location where trainers can purchase various items for their journey.
  • Mr. Psychic's House: The residence of an NPC who gifts trainers the TM for Psychic.
  • Copycat's House: A house where a girl lives upstairs; she will teach the move Mimic to a Pokémon in exchange for a Poké Doll.
  • Pokémon Trainer Fan Club: A meeting place where members gather to discuss who the best trainer in the anime is.
  • Residential House: A home featuring an interactive map on the wall and a television playing a Pokémon anime.
