Diglett's Cave is a long, narrow tunnel located in the Kanto region. It serves as a major underground thoroughfare connecting Route 2 near Pewter City directly to Route 11 near Vermilion City.
Description
The cave was reportedly dug entirely by Diglett and Dugtrio over many years. It provides a convenient shortcut for trainers to bypass the central areas of Kanto. The tunnel is sparsely lit and consists of a single, winding path with no branching offshoots, making it one of the simplest landmarks to navigate in the region.
Features
- Shortcut: The cave allows trainers to travel from the western side of Kanto to the eastern side without having to pass through Mt. Moon or Cerulean City.
- Burrowing Habitat: The cave is almost exclusively inhabited by Ground-type burrowing Pokémon.
