Battle Strategy
- The Dragon Dance Threat: Gyarados will prioritize using Dragon Dance to increase its already formidable Attack and Speed. At +2 Boost Level, its base stats are significantly higher than a standard Gyarados, making its boosted attacks nearly impossible to wall.
- STAB Flinch: Waterfall provides high damage and a chance to flinch, which becomes a major issue once Gyarados has outpaced your team.
- Counterplay: A fast Electric-type with high-voltage moves is the most efficient way to handle its 4x weakness. However, trainers must be wary of Earthquake on the switch-in. Using Taunt to stop the initial Dragon Dance is highly recommended.
