Toucannon, the Cannon Pokémon, is a powerful physical attacker found within the Tumblecube region. By igniting gases within its beak, it can launch seeds and rock fragments with explosive force, or heat its beak to temperatures capable of causing severe burns upon contact.

Boss Encounter: Toucannon

This encounter features a heavy-hitting physical specialist. Toucannon excels at punishing physical attackers and using multi-hit "ballistics" moves to keep the player flinching and unable to retaliate effectively.

Battle Strategy

  • Beak Blast Danger: Toucannon's signature move, Beak Blast, has a charging phase. Any Pokémon that hits Toucannon with a contact move during this phase will be instantly **Burned**. Special attackers or non-contact physical moves are highly recommended to avoid this.
  • Multi-Hit Flinching: Toucannon holds a Kings Rock. Both Bullet Seed and Rock Blast hit multiple times in a single turn, with each individual hit having a chance to trigger a flinch. This can lead to your Pokémon being "locked" out of taking an action.
  • Unexpected Coverage: With **Seed Bomb** and **Bullet Seed**, Toucannon can easily dispatch the Rock and Water-type Pokémon that usually counter Flying-types.
  • Speed Management: While Toucannon is slower than previous avian bosses like Swellow, its +2 Speed boost makes it deceptively quick. Use status moves like **Paralysis** to ensure you can outpace it and avoid the flinch-locking from its Kings Rock.
