Staraptor, the Predator Pokémon, is a fierce and courageous combatant found within the Tumblecube region. Unlike other avian Pokémon that prefer to strike from a distance, Staraptor is known for its "reckless" fighting style, diving headfirst into foes with enough force to injure itself in the process.

Boss Encounter: Staraptor

This encounter features a relentless physical attacker. By utilizing an Assault Vest, Staraptor compensates for its average special bulk, allowing it to survive initial hits and respond with overwhelming physical power.

Battle Strategy

  • Extreme Recoil: Staraptor's most powerful moves, Brave Bird and Double-Edge, deal significant recoil damage to it. While this makes it extremely dangerous, it also means the boss will effectively help you lower its own HP as the fight progresses.
  • Close Combat Coverage: Steel and Rock-type Pokémon are traditional counters to Flying-types, but Staraptor carries Close Combat specifically to eliminate these threats. A bulky Ghost-type is the best way to safely switch in.
  • The Assault Vest: Because it is wearing an Assault Vest, special attacks (like Thunderbolt or Ice Beam) will deal less damage than expected. Aim for its physical defense to take it down more efficiently.
  • Pivoting: Be wary of U-turn. If the AI predicts a switch to a counter, it may pivot out to maintain its advantage or chip away at your team's health.
