Electrode, the Ball Pokémon, is found powering the generator within the Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout. Often mistaken for a common item ball, this high-speed Pokémon is highly volatile and serves as a dangerous trap for those infiltrating the facility.

Boss Encounter: Electrode

This encounter features one of the fastest Pokémon in the region. Rather than relying on pure power, this Electrode utilizes a disruptive strategy designed to confuse and paralyze opponents before they can even react.

Battle Strategy

  • High-Speed Disruption: Electrode will almost certainly move first. It uses Toxic to put the battle on a timer and Swagger to confuse opponents while doubling their Attack—a high-risk move that can lead to massive self-inflicted confusion damage.
  • Status Spread: Discharge is a reliable STAB move that carries a high 30% chance to paralyze, making it even harder for your team to regain the speed advantage.
  • Counterplay: Ground-type Pokémon are essential to negate Discharge, though they must be wary of being worn down by Toxic. A Pokémon with the Own Tempo ability can ignore the confusion from Swagger and benefit from the free Attack boost to quickly knock Electrode out.
