Battle Strategy

  • Passive Damage Specialist: This Oddish is a dedicated staller. It aims to stack Toxic and Leech Seed on your Pokémon, creating a massive drain on your HP every turn.
  • Sustain and Defense: Between the Eviolite defense boost and the healing from Giga Drain and Leech Seed, Oddish can be deceptively difficult to take down. It uses Protect to scout moves and allow passive damage/healing to tick.
  • Counterplay: Steel and Poison-types are immune to Toxic, while other Grass-types are immune to Leech Seed. Using a Pokémon that fits both (like Roserade or Venusaur) or utilizing Taunt will render this Oddish nearly helpless, as it relies heavily on non-attacking moves to win.
