Cerulean City is the fourth city visited by the player. It is a seaside city located in northern Kanto, home to the Water-type Gym Leader, Misty.

The player arrives in Cerulean City from the west entrance via Route 4.

A bicycle store located in the city.

Berry House

A residential house where an elderly man resides. He will give the player different types of Berries.

In-Game Trade House

A house where a trainer is looking to trade Pokémon.

Badge Explanation House

A house occupied by an elderly man who explains the function and details of each Gym Badge to the player.

Shortcut House

A house that serves as a passageway. Using this house allows the player to travel to the other part of the city to access the Clothing Store or reach a different route.

TV Show House

A house occupied by an elderly man who talks about watching a TV show.

Buildings

  • Cerulean Gym: The official Gym of Cerulean City. It is a Water-type Gym led by Misty.
  • Pokémon Center: Features a standard upstairs area and a special downstairs area where players can battle Nurse Joy for XP grinding.
  • Poké Mart: Standard shop for buying Poké Balls and other items.
  • Clothing Store: Sells various cosmetic items for the player. Accessible via the Shortcut House.
