Celadon City is a sprawling metropolis located in central Kanto. Known as the "City of Rainbow Dreams," it is the home of the Grass-type Gym Leader, Erika.
The player typically arrives in Celadon City from the East entrance via Route 7.

The largest shop in Kanto, featuring 6 floors of items.

Celadon Mansion
A residential building with four floors.
- Suites: Contains the Manager's Suite, Game Freak Meeting Room, and Game Freak Development Room.
- Roof (Competitive Battle Tutor): An NPC who teaches competitive moves is located on the roof.
- Note: The roof is only accessible by entering through the back of the building.
Rocket Game Corner
A casino where players can gamble for coins to exchange for prizes.
- Underground: A secret Team Rocket base is hidden underneath the Game Corner.
Prize Exchange
Located next to the Game Corner. Players can exchange their casino coins here for various prizes.
Trading Card Store
A specialty shop where players can purchase Trading Cards for their binder.
Celadon Diner
A restaurant where patrons hint at the existence of a secret underground area beneath the Game Corner.
Softboiled Tutor Area
A secluded area accessible only by using Surf.
- Feature: There is a locked building here. An NPC standing outside this building will teach the move Softboiled to compatible Pokémon.

- Pokémon Center: Features a standard upstairs area and a special downstairs area where players can battle Nurse Joy for XP grinding.

- Celadon Hotel: A luxury hotel located in the city.
