Prepare for Trouble is a side quest located in the Kanto region. It involves a confrontation with the notorious duo, Jessie and James, following a daring theft within a safe zone.

Synopsis

Upon entering the Viridian City Pokémon Center, the player is blindsided by Jessie and James, who successfully steal the player's entire party. Without their own Pokémon, the player must track the duo south back to Route 1.

The player meets an NPC (a local Ranger or Trainer) who provides a **borrowed team** specifically for this encounter. The player must use this temporary team to defeat Team Rocket in a multi-battle to reclaim their original Pokémon.

Walkthrough

1. Triggering the Quest: Walk into the Viridian City Pokémon Center. A cutscene will trigger where Jessie and James appear in disguise and make off with your Poké Balls.
2. The Pursuit: Exit the city and head south onto Route 1. Look for the Team Rocket balloon or NPCs near the tall grass.
3. The Borrowed Team: Speak to the helpful NPC nearby. You will be temporarily locked into a specific team (e.g., a balanced trio of Kanto-obtainable Pokémon) for the duration of the fight.
4. The Battle: Defeat Jessie and James in a Double Battle.
5. Conclusion: Once defeated, they will flee, dropping your Pokémon and the rewards.
